How much tax do I pay on imported games in Malaysia?

Malaysia abolished GST in 2018 — there is no GST on imports today. Since 2024, goods valued at RM 500 or below bought from a registered overseas online platform are charged 10% Low Value Goods (LVG) Sales Tax at checkout, so the tax is already in the price you pay. Shipments above RM 500 CIF (Cost + Insurance + Freight) are instead assessed 10% Sales Tax (SST) on import, plus any applicable import duty.
